When I was once a wee nipper I used to pop round to my sister's boyfriends house and play on the Megadrive (or Genesis if you will) and be wowed at the sheer volume of games he had. I remember being shocked by the fact that he "never really played them". What kind of cruel joke was that? Dangling the proverbial gaming carrot in front of your nose and not allowing you the time to enjoy them. Of course I was a kid back then without any of these grown up worries- but fast forward 15 years or so and I'm in that exact predicament.

Piling up in my games cabinet I have the likes of Borderlands, Dragon Age, Brutal Legend as wll as Lego Indiana Jones- but my gaming time since my course started has been reduced to about 2 to 3 hours a week!! At this rate I'll have turned 50 when I finally see the credits roll for Dragon Age. I've only just managed to complete the (awesome) Batman: Arkham Asylum- I had to go without sleep for that one. Add to that list Little Big Planet for my new PS3 and that's a ridiculous amount of game time... except I've not played much LBP due to having to wait for the PS3 to update for 2 hours when I first tried it out. Hmmm...

Then early next year there's the launch of my most anticipated game yet, Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake and I think I may have failed the course by then! Good times to be a gamer... rubbish times to be on a course/have job/do own artwork/make time for the Mrs.

But I ain't complaining
